michigan and beyond

I think Michigan is our home away from home at this point. It's great to be able to have such great folks around en masse in a place none of us are from. I can't wait for Grand Rapids. We're headed to Minneapolis now and then it's on to Milwaukee and Grand Rapids.

Many thanks to Marco and Shawn and anyone who helped set up those shows. Here are a bunch of photos that Tim took.

Ohio!

Lakewood w/ Assinine (see photos of Lake Erie below, a block away from the house where the show was), Columbus w/ Ghost Town Trio and Republic, PA. We're playing a show in Kent, Ohio with Delay on May 19 too. That's a lot of Ohio. And I got to see Adult play, which was pretty cool, at the Grog Shop.

We crashed a party in Columbus with Allen, met Bob at the show and brought him with us to Pennsylvania. He rules. For the record, jersey related karaoke in Republic, PA on a Friday night is pretty awesome. Major thanks to Jody for that one.

We're in Asheville, NC right now and have spent the past few days in some pretty kick-ass southern towns. Many thanks to Lexie (and all the folks at the Farmhouse), Matt and Tom for giving us places to play/stay. Pretty much all our shows from here til home are with Cowboy Dynamite from Nashville, so check these guys out.

Here are some photos that Tim took. The ones of us playing are in Cleveland, MS @ The Farmhouse.

so this is Arkansas

Last night was better than any show we could've played. Many thanks to David for showing us the best time. Unfortunately we took no photos cause things were so nuts all your shit might fall out of your pockets. Arkansas rules. I guess I'll leave it at that.

We got TO texas, now let's see if we can make it back.

on hating the inside of the van

The past few days have containted two 12-14 hour drives. This is something I have no desire to ever do again but I know it'll happen a few more times over the next few weeks. The shows have been a lot of fun though, so it's worth it. Seasick played another show w/ us in South Carolina and successfuly gave a couple of us what we're now calling "The Seasick Plague". Thanks guys! Many thanks to Ken for letting us stay with him (and that adorable prarie dog named Thomas) and spraypaint the walls of the Wreck Center.

We're currently in St. Petersburg, Florida at our friend Anthony's house and there are clementines growing in his front yard. We're all going swimming in the Gulf of Mexico later, which is pretty sweet. I'm liking Florida a lot right now. The show last night was with Steady State, The Fuzz, No Truth Lies and the Dukes of Hillsborough. It would've been even more fun had I not felt like I was going to die, but from what I could tell all the other bands were awesome.
